Poornima creates whimsical characters for children’s books.
She is known for her charming, quirky illustrations that appeal not only to kids but also to adults.
Some of the books she has illustrated include Magic at Ferns and Blooms (2018), More Magic at Ferns and Blooms (2019), Goodbye Ferns and Blooms (2020) and Fast Five do it again (2020).
The 'Ferns & Blooms’ trilogy she illustrated, has been recognised as an enchanting series of books in the Children's Literature Category — Nissim Prize for Fiction 2020.
